  1. We are looking at using Japandi in our home but don’t know where to start, do you have any styling tips and ideas for us? Our home is currently a blank canvas so any info will be a great help 🙂

    • Hi Dianna,

We recommend you starting with one room first, e.g, the kitchen, have a look at some different Japandi styles and see which ones suit your style best, from there you could look at furniture, furnishings, fittings, and fixtures.

Wicker, Cane, Rattan, Acorn, Teak, and Bamboo are all fine examples of materials used in the Japandi design.

Flax blends, cotton, and linen are all good examples of soft furnishings used in Japandi style.

With the Japandi style, your home should feel tranquil and peaceful as soon as you enter, a common colour used is green, we recommend using lots of plants, shrubs, and cacti.

Japandi is a sustainable design and meant to be eco-friendly for our planet, one-off long-lasting pieces that will be used time and time again, is what Japandi is all about, try sourcing these pieces from your local charity shops, auctions, etc, and always purchase pieces that compliment you and your home, your home is your safe haven and should make you feel at peace.

I hope this helps you! Tiffany
